Monsoon Malabar is arguably the most famous Coffee to originate from India. It undergoes a unique processing method whereby the Green beans are exposed to the thick, damp monsoon air for several months, which causes the beans to swell while losing some of their natural acidity.

The name derives from the Malabar Coast of Karnataka and Kerala, South India, where this process takes place. The result, once medium-dark-roasted here at The Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company, is a Coffee with a robust sweetness and defined spicy notes. It is a rich Coffee with a strong character, one that transcends when roasted using the latest state-of-the-art Neuhaus Neotec fluidised air-bed system, which primarily uses convection heat transfer to roast the beans.
